Most Myanmar citizens are boycotting military-organized celebrations of the Burmese new year (Thingyan). The junta organized several events, forcing government workers and paying civilians to attend them. Despite all its efforts, the difference between pre and post-coup (and Covid) celebrations are impossible to ignore even for the most hardcore military-supporters. Read more…
