• The Asani cyclone has landed in Myanmar causing heavy rains that damaged internally displaced people camps in Karen State
• Japan’s special envoy for ‘National Reconciliation in Myanmar’ won’t provide humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and others in Karenni State due to an agreement with the military regime. Humanitarian aid can’t be provided without the army’s consent. Since February 2021 there have been numerous reports of regime troops actively blocking humanitarian aid to people in need.
• The United States has determined that the violence against the Rohingya minority committed by Myanmar’s military amounted to genocide and crimes against humanity, an official told AFP Sunday. (Source: The Irrawaddy)
• Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn and current ASEAN special envoy to Myanmar, arrived in Naypyidaw for his 3-day visit. He met with coup leader Min Aung Hlaing, but will not be allowed to meet with the opposition.
• Singapore DJs Rave Republic announced they will not perform in Myanmar next month over human rights concerns. They initially accepted an invitation to a festival in Naypyidaw, but decided to cancel the concert after receiving several messages from Myanmar activists about the current political situation. “We must admit that we had quite low awareness of the situation as it is underreported in the media. After reading your responses, we immediately made the decision to cancel the show in support of all of you. “
• U Hanthar Nyein, founder of Kamayut Media, has been sentenced to 2 years of prison with hard labour for incitement. He was arrested together with co-founder Nathan Maung, a Burmese with American citizenship, who was released in June. After his release, Nathan Maung reported he was being tortured during his time in prison

CHIN STATE
• Matupi: one Resistance fighter has been killed by the Burmese military in Taebwe village. A second Resistance member has been abducted an is currently missing

SAGAING
• Minkin: Resistance fighters claim to have killed 5 regime soldiers

KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
• Demoso: more than 40 houses have been burned by the military last week

KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
• Lay Kay Kaw: heavy rains are causing floods in displacement camps, were people who fled from the Burmese military attacks are currently taking shelter.
• Myawaddy: Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) seized Mawkhi camp

MANDALAY
• A military convoy was attacked by Resistance fighters on the Mandalay-Naypyidaw expressway.

MAGWAY
• Yesagyo: 8 people have been arrested and beaten by the military during a raid in Kyauktat Village. Two 3-year-old children are among those arrested, according to Khit Thit Media.

YANGON
• Bahan: a group of Food Panda employees have been reportedly interrogated by the Burmese military during a meeting at the Bo Sein Man Stadium. Food Panda riders are currently on strike due to the reduced salaries. According to Food Panda, the riders are not being detained.
• The military government has started building temporary pavilion in front of Yangon city hall for show and performance during a Thingyan water festival (Source: The Chindwin News Agency)
