One of the students arrested in Yangon today

POLITICS, ECONOMY AND OTHER NEWS
• Hein Min (20), has been sentenced to 28 years of imprisonment with hard labor by the military regime. He was arrested in Dawei one year ago for his anti-coup activities and was not given a lawyer to face the trial.

SAGAING
• Shwebo: 3 teenagers (15 and 16 years old) were arrested and killed for carrying a knife, by regime soldiers at the Seik Khun village police station. The 3 victims were banana pickers and were carrying a knife to work
• Pale: 12 soldiers killed in clashes between Tonkan and Naw Yoe villages
• Khin U: 4 regime soldiers killed in a landmine attack

SHAN STATE
• Lauk Hpan: the military regime launched an airstrike this morning

KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
• Demoso: Resistance fighters forced to retreat from their base camp in Daw Ngan Kha after several days of airstrikes and shelling by the Burmese military

KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
• Mutraw: airstrikes have been reported today

MAGWAY
• Yesagyo: Resistance fighters attacked the home of a Pyu Saw Htee (pro-military militia) leader.

YANGON
• Botahtaung: 5 students have been beaten and arrested by regime authorities allegedly for possessing explosives
• Mingalar Taung Nyunt: peaceful protesters have been beaten and arrested by regime authorities

COVID DAILY (as reported by the military-controlled Ministry of Health. Real figures are believed to be higher than officially reported)
• 487 new cases and 3 new deaths
