The 80 children who were held as hostage by regime soldiers have been released today. According to local sources, soldiers detained them to use them as human shields during a raid in Chin Pone, Yinmarpin, Sagaing Region. 9 civilians have been killed by the military during the raid, with a gunshot at the head. According to locals some children may still be missing.

• Hpakant: the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) bans the trade of military-owned products

• Kayan: 3 military vehicles attacked by Resistance fighters in Ye San, Peinkan village.
• Taikgyi Township: 2 civilians on a motorbike have been shot and killed by the police
