• Freelance journalist Ko Myo Myint Oo was arrested while travelling to Mandalay for his reports on the conflict in Lay kay Kaw, Karen State
• The United States announced they will not invite coup leader Min Aung Hlaing to the next ASEAN-US summit, citing the lack of progress in the 5-point-consensus
• According to Justice For Myanmar, ASEAN may be complicit in war crimes for allowing the Burmese military to participate in defense meetings and training.
• The Karen Information Center reports that pro-military militia BGF (Border Guard Force) has retreated from some areas controlled by the KNU.
• The military regime accused Dr. Bo Bo Nge, former governor of the Central Bank, of corruption for not taxing donations to Myanmar made by George Soros’ Open Society Foundation. Conspiracy theories about Soros’ Open Society Foundation, have been circulating among pro-military groups for years.
• Daw Yu Yu May Daw Su Wai Pon, wife and daughter of ousted Mandalay’s chief minister and NLD vice-chairman, have been arrested by the military regime
• Film maker Ma Aeint was sentenced to 3 years of prison for allegedly funding anti-coup groups on April 29th
• The military-controlled Union Election Commission (UEC) suspended the Democratic Party for Myanmar New Society (DPMNS) for one year for failing to allow it to review its finances.
• The ASEAN special envoy to Myanmar Prak Sokhonn, who also serves as the Cambodian Foreign Minister, announced he will visit Myanmar for the second time in the next weeks.

• Myinmu: 8 Resistance fighters have been killed in a battle against regime troops

• Clashes between the Kokang Army (MNDAA) and regime troops have been reported today
• Inle: a pro-military militia leader and his son-in-law have been killed by Resistance fighters

• Minhla: policeman and 6 Pyu Saw Htee (pro-military militia) members, have been killed by Resistance fighters in San Boat village
MON STATE
• Bilin: regime soldiers abducted over 100 civilians using them as human shields on their way to Lay Kay camp
