• Burma’s National Unity Govermnent today announced that it had formed its Central Committee for Combating Terrorism. The committee will be led by two union ministers: Lwin Ko Latt and Yee Mon (Source: DVB)
• The Burmese military-controlled Supreme Court rejects Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s appeal against the sentence in last week’s corruption case.

CHIN STATE
• Mindat: regime soldiers have been reportedly killed during clashes with Resistance fighters
• Hakha: clashes near Ramtho village. Several Burmese soldiers have been reportedly killed, while some civilian houses have been burned by regime troops

SAGAING
• Ayadaw: regime troops raided and burned more than 500 houses in Malal Thar village. Two villagers were reportedly burned to death
• Kalay: regime soldiers have been reportedly killed during clashes in Shapo village

KACHIN STATE
• Hpakant: 2 civilians have been killed by heavy artillery fired by the Burmese military in Madan Yang village

MANDALAY
• A man depositing money in a KBZ bank branch in Mandalay was robbed of 100 million kyats ($54,000 USD) by four gunmen on 2 May. (Source: Mizzima)
• Madaya: regime troops raided a Resistance camp in Thapha Kine village
• Kyaukse: the Burmese military reportedly held a 4-year old child hostage in Inn Daing village after failing to find her father.

MAGWAY
• Myaing: regime troops reportedly burned Ywa Thit Gyi village on May 2nd
• Myaing: pro-military forces claim to have captured a Resistance base, killing 3 Resistance fighters and seizing weapons

BAGO
• Taungoo: a military operation led to many arrests of people allegedly supporting the Resistance

AYEYARWADY
• Bogalay: 5 civilians have been reportedly arrested for 4 days for possessing objects with the logo of the National League for Democracy

COVID DAILY (as reported by the military-controlled Ministry of Health. Real figures are believed to be higher than officially reported)
