POLITICS, ECONOMY AND OTHER NEWS
•  The All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) confirms its involvement in yesterday’s attack against the military regime in Sagaing/Kachin. The ABSDF, an armed group that emerged during the 1988 Revolution, is a signatory of the National Ceasefire Agreement. Although it is not one of the most powerful armed groups in Myanmar, its involvement in the anti-coup Resistance is politically significant.
•  Philippine Foreign Minister Teodoro Locsin says NLD leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is essential to Myanmar’s democratic transition and should be involved in talks. It is not clear what “talks” Locsin is referring to, though, as there are no real “peace talks” at the moment, given that the military is unwilling to stop its violence, and refuses to engage with the National Unity Government or the NLD.

•  The military regime announced that 10 more Omicron cases have been detected
•  Chin Human Rights Organization has identified “individual officers who have command responsibility for massacring 10 civilians whose bodies were discovered with knife wounds to the throats and torso area. 3 highest ranking officers in charge of LIB 140 bear ultimate responsibility for the crime”

SAGAING
•  Kalay: fighting between Resistance groups and regime soldiers broke out this evening.
•  Katha: Resistance fighters killed 7 regime soldiers during a landmine attack
•  Maubin, Shwebo: regime soldiers attacked the village with heavy artillery
•  Kalay: Ye Yint Zaw, a 22 year-old deaf civilian, was shot dead by regime soldiers. He could not hear, nor speak when soldiers ordered him to stop.
•  Tunglung, Tigyiang: Resistance fighters claim to have killed 15 regime soldiers during an attack to a military convoy
•  Than Taw Kung , Ayadaw: regime soldiers burned a warehouse where rice was stored

KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
•  Loikaw: the military regime launched an airstrike with 2 fighter jets
•  Makhaw Shwe, Phruso: the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) attacked regime soldiers
•  Nang Kwe, Loikaw: a civilian lost his left leg stepping on a landmine

KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
•  Kawkareik: intense battles between Resistance groups, including the KNLA and regime troops. The military regime fired heavy artillery. 3 Resistance fighters have been killed.

MAGWAY
•  Myaing: regime soldiers burned and destroyed several houses in the township

YANGON
•  Ahlone: a Htoo gas station has been destroyed by fire early this morning. Htoo Group is owned by famous tycoon Tay Za, who acts as an arms broker for the military regime. Htoo Group is involved in several sectors, including tourism, constructions, and timber trade.
•  The military regime suffered several attacks in different townships by Resistance groups. 2 regime soldiers have been reportedly killed.

•  123 new cases and 1 new deaths
