Meanwhile atrocities continue in Sagaing region, where regime troops started killing and burning bodies and entire villages.

POLITICS, ECONOMY AND OTHER NEWS
•  Ko Soe Naing, a photojournalist who was arrested on Friday in Yangon for photographing the Silent Strike, was reportedly killed under detention.
•  The military regime announced that healthcare workers who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement, will be fined 5-10 million kyats

CHIN STATE
•  Kanpetlet: the Chin Human Rights Organitation claims that the Light Infantry divisions (LID) 11 and 77 are occupying St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

SAGAING
•  Gaung Kwe, Myaung: regime soldiers killed and burned 5 civilians, including a man with mental illness. Last week 11 people were burned by regime troops in Donetaw
•  Keba, Ayadaw: over 100 civilian houses destroyed by fire during yesterday’s raid by regime soldiers.
•  Bokywar: U Nyunt Hlaing was killed and burned by regime soldiers.
•  Minkin: regime troops torched several houses in the area and planted mines. Two civilians from Konyin, were injured by an explosion caused by a landmine planted by the regime.

KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
•  Myawaddy: regime troops raided Lay Kay Kaw, an area under the control of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), and arrested more than 30 civilians, including a National League for Democracy (NLD) lawmaker.

MANDALAY
•  Maha Aung Myay: regime-controlled media claims that the Burmese military has killed 7 Resistance fighters during raids on Sunday. Resistance groups deny the claims.
•  Pyigyitagon: the regime issued an order to evict the families of over 100 railway workers who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement. They have to move before December 22nd, otherwise authorities will remove them forcibly.

MAGWAY
•  Pakkoku: landmine attack killed 7 regime soldiers

YANGON
•  Insein Prison: lawyers confirm previous rumors that nearly 100 detainees have been beaten for singing revolutionary songs during Friday’s general strike.
•  12 Resistance fighters arrested after an accidental explosion in which 3 PDF members got injured.
•  Ko Soe Naing, a photojournalist who was arrested on Friday in Yangon, for photographing the Silent Strike, died under detention.
•  Hmawbi: a military convoy carrying two Yangon ministers was attacked with landmines by civilian fighters.
