State media report that Min Aung Hlaing accused Daw Aung San Suu Kyi of not intervening against violence despite knowing about the National Unity Government (NUG) and the formation of an armed Resistance group (PDF, People’s Defence Forces). Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been arrested on February 1st, day of the coup, and is not allowed to communicate with others.
CHIN STATE
• Kanpetlet: Om Kee, the Chin Christian pastor who was abducted by the military 2 days ago, was found dead today. His body was thrown into bushes and it is believed that he was tortured.
SAGAING
• Kani: Resistance fighters attacked military motorboats allegedly carrying jade. Three boats have been sunk in the past 3 days.
• Keba village, Ayadaw: regime troops burned over 100 civilian houses
• Wetlet: DVB reporter Aung San Lin has been abducted by the military regime today.
SHAN STATE
• Monekoe: regime troops attacked outposts of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) with helicopters
• Nam Kham, Muse: the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has allegedly increased taxes on shops in Myoma Market. Sellers closed their shops because they can’t afford paying, or to protest against the ethnic armed group. The TNLA denies the accusations.
• An administrator of the Kengtung Hittine Facebook group, has been arrested funder section 505(a) for allowing people to share anti-coup posts in the group
KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
• Loikaw: 60 year-old volunteer was shot dead last night by an unidentified gunman.
MANDALAY
• Maha Aung Myay: Resistance fighters killed 2 soldiers at a market
• 2 Resistance fighters killed by the regime
AYERYWAWADY
• Hinthada: the regime ordered the destruction of civilian buildings near the rail truck in Hinthada. Reports of forced evictions are increasing under the coup
THANINTHARYI
• Dawei: Zin Myo Min, a 19 year-old student, has been sentenced to 11 years of prison for sedition and terrorism. He is accused of taking part in the armed Resistance.
• Pulaw: 3 civilian died after being hit by a military truck.
