Thantlang burns once again. Regime soldiers torched a Christian Church along with some houses. Over 400 buildings have been destroyed by the regime so far.

POLITICS, ECONOMY AND OTHER NEWS
•       The United States may launch an “Export Control and Human Rights Initiative” at the upcoming Democracy Summit. The project would restrict the export of certain types of products, including surveillance technologies, to countries that violate human rights, such as Myanmar. Russia and China were not invited to the summit.
•       On December 10th, World’s Human Rights Day, Myanmar activists will launch a Silent Strike. The previous silent strike was launched on March 24th, when all Burmese citizens observed a day of silence and abstinence from any activity as a sign of protest against the military coup.
•       The Karen National Union (KNU) announced travel restrictions in Hpa-an. Resistance groups announced similar restrictions in Sagaing. Travelling will be permitted only during day time for security reasons.
•       Chinese state media Global Times reports that Myanmar resumed rare earth trade to China.

CHIN STATE
•       Thantlang: regime troops keep torching the town, including a the United Pentecostal Church.

SAGAING
•       Myaung: the regime is sending reinforces, after local Resistance groups claimed to have set checkpoints at 4 ports and intend to check ships entering the town.
•       Tinkotegyi, Kantbalu: Ko Hnin Aung, a young student and pro-democracy activist, member of the All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU), was shot dead by Pyu Saw Htee (a pro-regime armed group) for refusing to stop at a check-point. He had been recently arrested.
•       Kantbalu: Resistance fighters attacked regime troops and Pyu Saw Htee. Casualties reported.
•       Sin Ywa, Kalaymyo: regime soldiers burned civilian houses
•       Ayadaw: the body of Kyaw Kyaw Htwe, a LGBT activist, was found lifeless. He was active in the pro-democracy movement
•       Minkin: thousands of civilians fled the area as regime troops entered the township.
•       Depayin: Ko Mya Win Ko, a teacher involved in the Civil Disobedience Movement and a member of local Resistance forces, was killed during clashes with regime troops

KACHIN STATE
•       Bhamo: U Myint Aye, an NLD member, died after being hit during a shelling by regime soldiers.

SHAN STATE
•       Hsenwi: regime soldiers raided Resistance camps. During the fight, 3 regime soldiers were killed and 2 PDF fighters were arrested.

MANDALAY
•       Nabu Ai, Myingyan: the head monk of Pope Pa Yone monastery was arrested by regime forces for unknown reasons.

ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
•       A regime soldier defected to the Arakan Army. Regime soldiers tried to arrest the taxi driver who helped the defector, but did not find him. They abducted his brother instead.

YANGON
•       Gunfight at the Thanlyin Bridge

COVID DAILY (as reported by the military-controlled Ministry of Health. Real figures are believed to be higher than officially reported)
•       374 new cases and 8 new deaths
