Another major fire (the ninth!) broke out in Thantlang, Chin State, which has become a ghost city since September, as regime soldiers keep burning civilian buildings, including churches. 

Another airstrike in Sagaing region, the number of casualties is still unknown. Regime troops constantly raid, loot, burn and attack villages, forcing civilians to flee repeatedly, often multiple times during the same day or week. 

The images of the funeral for the 4 fallen Resistance fighters are quite touching, and they contrast with the way the regime treats its own soldiers who never receive this type of recognition.

Let’s not forget that soldiers are literally slaves of the regime

CHIN STATE

•       Thantlang: another fire broke out. It’s the ninth time soldiers torch civilian properties. Nearly 300 buildings, including houses and churches, have been destroyed since September. Over 10.000 people fled.

•       Hakha: Resistance fighters killed 2 regime soldiers during an attack on the Hakha-Matupi Road

SAGAING

•       Depayin: the regime launched an airstrike with helicopters

KACHIN STATE

•       Hpakant: a landmine exploded in Hmaw Cesar high school yesterday injuring 6 people, including students and teachers.

•       Phon Eyan Village, Sumprabum Township: Kachinwaves reports the effects of gold mining in Sumprabum. After the coup, illegal gold mining is on the rise, especially near water creeks, making it difficult for villagers to access drinking water

KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE

•       Demoso: funerals for 4 fallen Resistance fighters were held today

MANDALAY

•       Maha Aung Myay: regime forces were attacked by a bomb while they were forcibly evicting squatters. 2 civilians got injured when soldiers responded by shooting at random. 

MAGWAY

•       Saw township: regime soldiers raided and looted three villages

MON STATE

•       Yay Township: a fire broke out at the Welrat Monastery in Chaung Taung village. Cause is unknown.

COVID DAILY (as reported by the military-controlled Ministry of Health. Real figures are believed to be higher than officially reported)

•       505 new cases and 12 new deaths
