It’s been a very painful day for the Resistance with many important losses and arrests. May those arrested today be safe.

Bad news on the political side too. It appears that Rohingya people have been excluded from the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC). While the National Unity Government is a temporary government (with the goal of opposing the military regime), the NUCC will play a crucial role in shaping the new Federal Government, which the Rohingyas are a part of. After so much talk about the “inclusiveness” of the new government, it’s puzzling to see it fail to take this very important step. There is no excuse for not having a Rohingya representative in neither the NUG and the NUCC. New name, old politics?
