The Burmese army is known for using rape as a weapon in conflict zones, and unfortunately another episode has been reported in Chin State.

An intense battle took place today, after a dozen Resistance members, including 9 female medics, have been arrested by regime forces. We hope they will be released soon

CHIN STATE
Aakluai village, Tedim: a 30 year-old, 7 months pregnant woman, has been raped by regime soldiers. She is related to a previous victim of rape reported few days ago.

SAGAING
Kalay: regime forces stormed a PDF (People’s Defence Force) camp and abducted 10-12 Resistance members, including 9 female medics. PDF responded by attacking the military column killing 17 regime soldiers. Kalay PDF also attacked a police station in Tarhan Ward, killing 2 regime forces.

SHAN STATE
Mo Bye: the military regime has cut off internet and telephone lines. Telecommunication’s shutdowns are often used by the Burmese Army in conflict zones. Regime soldiers attacked Resistance fighters at a fire station, injuring 2.
Kalaw: an explosion hits an Electric Power Corporation (EPC) office. Injured people reported.

KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
Demoso: the military regime has cut off internet and telephone lines. Telecommunication’s shutdowns are often used by the Burmese Army in conflict zones.

KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
Phapon: clashes between KNLA (Karen National LiberationArmy)and regime soldiers
Hpa An: clashes between KNLA and Border Guard Forces

MANDALAY
Myinthar village, Thabeikkyin township: U Zaw Min Aung, a teacher who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement, has been killed by regime forces while under custody. He was arrested on November 2nd

MAGWAY
Saw Town: 2 civilians from Kantpalet were abducted and used as human shields. The two were able to escape while stealing a gun from a regime soldiers.

ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
Khaing Thukha, Arakan Army’s spokesperson, says that fighting could resume any time, depending on the regime’s army behaviour.

MON STATE
Thaton: 2 Border Guard Force soldiers killed by the Karen National Liberation Army.
