POLITICS, ECONOMY AND OTHER NEWS
• The Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO) says it has reached agreements with the military regime. Major ethnic organizations refused to negotiate with the Burmese military.
• DVB reports on criminal gangs operating in Myawaddy near the Thai border and in Laukkai, near the Chinese border. These organizations lure young people promising monthly salaries up to 1000 usd per month for online marketing jobs. The workers are then asked to convince foreigners to invest in cryptocurrency or in online scams and are being held captives. Every worker has to pay an “exit fee” of over 1,000 USD to be released. Victims are mostly Burmese, but there have been reports of Malay youths being trafficked to Myanmar through Mae Sot in Thailand.
• Student leader Lin Htet Naing was arrested by the military regime on June 20th

SHAN STATE
• The military regime has arrested over 20 youths for supporting the opposition in the past few days

ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
• Ponnagyun: the Arakan Army arrested a Burmese soldier near the Sanpya ward administration office

TANINTHARYI
• Launglon: regime troops arrested, tortured and killed a 49-year old woman in Wabyaw Village on June 21st

MON STATE
• Bilin: fighting between the Karen National Liberation Army and regime troops continue
