• Hpakant: the San Hkar prison was hit by artillery at around 4am on Wednesday. Locals believe the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and other Resistance groups might be behind the attack. The Burmese military used the prison as a base for its operations
SHAN STATE
• Hsi Hseng: Nan Khan Om, a civilian woman who was shot by a member of the Border Guard Force, a pro-military militia, during the the traditional lightning festival on June 14th, died on Tuesday
ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
• Sittwe: locals report gunshots in Mingan Ward, an area where the presence of Burmese soldiers has recently increased
• Mrauk-U: more than 20 civilians, including students, have been detained by the Burmese military. Tensions between the Arakan Army and regime troops are increasing, bringing to the arrest of multiple people from each side.
MON STATE
• Bilin: clashes between the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and regime troops was reported
