• According to the Karen National Union (KNU), around 300 regime troops have been killed in Karen State in May, and a total of 1800 have been killed in the past 5 months
• As local organizations and foreign governments and institutions are condemning the Burmese military regime’s plan to execute anti-coup activists, the military junta defends its decision by saying that “everyone is treated equally under the law” & “judicial system is independent”. The military government has recently approved the execution of 4 people, including former MP Ko Phyo Zeya Thaw and democracy activist Ko Jimmy.

SHAN STATE
• Moebye: several houses have been reportedly burned after regime troops fired artillery shells
KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
• A 60-year-old woman was killed by artillery shelling fired by the military regime near the Shan-Karenni border
MAGWAY
• Pakkoku: a 69-year-old man was shot and killed while visiting Tangkyi Taung Pagoda near Bagan. The reason for the shooting is unknown.
• Pauk: Resistance fighters raided and seized a police station in Kaing Le village
• Htilin: locals reported that regime soldiers looted and burned houses in Sinsel village
ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
• Local media report a fuel crisis in Arakan State. Rising prices are forcing several businesses to suspend their operations, including offshore fishing trawlers in Kyaukphyu
• Kyaukphyu: 2 brothers aged 10 and 15 drowned in Thampan Chaung ward on Saturday
YANGON
• Hlaing Thar Yar: two bombs exploded and injured 3 civilians, including a 5-year-old child. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack
