• A total of 70 members of the Military Council and Karen Border Guard Forces (BGF) were killed during clashes in May in the KNU’s 1st Brigade area, Thaton District, Kayin State, according to a statement by the Karen National Union (KNU) released 2 June. (Source: Mizzima)
• A 4.3 earthquake hit Thayarwaddy township today
• BBC reports that several villages along the Irrawaddy river, where locals are running conservation program for the endangered dolphins, have been burned by the military, forcing locals to flee
• Food Panda riders will go on strike on June 6th demanding a workers’ union and a raise. Since the military coup, worker’s rights have been largely ignored and union leaders have been targeted by the military regime.

SAGAING
• Kanbalu: an 8 year-old child, Zin Bhone, his mother Lei Lei Soe (26), and his grandfather Soe Kyaw (53) were killed by artillery shells fired by regime troops in Koe Taung Boet.

KACHIN STATE
• Mohnyin: the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) attacked a military convoy killing at least 2 soldiers
• Laiza: 2,000 trees have been planted in Mong Sai Yan village to celebrate tomorrow’s World Environment Day

MANDALAY
• Kyaukpadaung: Maung Hein Zeya Phyo (21-year-old) from Bote village and Maung Hein Zeya Oo (20) have been arrested and killed by regime soldiers . Their bodies were not returned to their families

ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
• Sittwe: ethnic Kaman students still can’t enrol at the Basic Education High School No. 6, a school run by the Burmese military. The Kamans are part of one of the many ethnic minorities of Myanmar, and are mostly muslim.

TANINTHARYI
• 14 year-old Ma Le Le Win and U Thet Htwe were killed by regime troops during clashes near The Chaung Gyi police station in which several soldiers also died

COVID DAILY (as reported by the military-controlled Ministry of Health. Real figures are believed to be higher than officially reported)
• 11 new cases and 0 new deaths
