• The military regime confirms the death sentences by hanging of prominent Resistance leaders Ko Phyo Zeya Thaw and Ko Jimmy. • They were arrested for leading Resistance groups. Although the military regime sentenced over 100 civilians to death since the military coup, there have been no executions since 1990. And there have been no political-related executions since the 70s. During the past 30 years, death sentences have been converted to life in prison, so the move is quite surprising. They are both incredibly popular. Ko Jimmy, a pro-democracy leader during the 1988 uprising, is widely regarded as a national hero. Ko Phyo Zeyam, a former rapper, was an MP during the NLD government.
• Ko Pe Maung Sein, a filmmaker and son of cartoonist U Pe Thein, has been arrested for his alleged ties with Resistance groups
The Thai government announced it has arrested over 13,000 Myanmar migrants in the month of May
• ASEAN special envoy to Myanmar Prak Sokhonn will visit Myanmar at the end of June, start of July
• A liter of diesel is now being sold at 2,350 mmk (1.30 USD), 3 times the pre-coup price

• Hpruso: Resistance fighters attacked a military convoy seizing vehicles and weapons

• Kawbain Sanpia village: two young brothers drowned while crossing a new canal.
ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
• The Arakan State Education Office which operates under the military regime, threatened legal actions against striking teachers who joined the civil disobedience movement
YANGON
• Kawhmu: motorbikes have been banned following the shooting attack against a military-appointed village administrator.
