The National Unity Government (NUG), the Karen National Union (KNU), the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP) and the Chin National Front (CNF) released a joint statement on how both ASEAN and the UN are mismanaging the delivery of humanitarian aid by relying on the Burmese military regime. The communities in need of help, are those that are being attacked, killed and burned by the military on a daily basis and there are reports of the military actively blocking aid to people in need. Meanwhile ethnic organizations and the NUG have been largely ignored by ASEAN and the UN, despite having control of large areas of the country.
