•Justice for Myanmar reveals that the MRTV app which was recently taken down by the Appstore and Google Play, was developed by the American company US company Apps Web Social LLC. The app was removed only few hours after its launch. MRTV is a military-controlled TV channel
•The Burmese military says that 9 ethnic armed groups will attend peace talks, including Shan forces and the United Wa State Army (UWSA). The Karen National Union (KNU), the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO), the Karenni National Progressive Party (KNPP), the Chin National Front (CNF) and the All Burma Student’s Democratic Front (ABSDF) announced they will not participate.
•The military regime refused the UK’s decision to downgrade Pete Vowles’ role to “Charge d’affaires”. Vowles was designated as UK’s ambassador to Myanmar, but the military regime rejected his appointment and blocked his return in the Asian country. (Source: Nikkei Asia)

KACHIN STATE
•Myitkyina: the home of Zahkung Ting Ying, leader of the military-affiliated New Democratic Army of Kachin (NDAK), was hit by a mortar shell on the night on May 6, killing two security guards (Source: DVB)

•Col. Saw Maw De replaces Col. Htoo Ka Shaw as the leader of the Brigade 5 of the Karen National Liberatio Army (KNLA) was recently killied in a battle in Mutraw

•Mahamuni: a fire broke out at an internally displaced people camp. The number of victims is not confirmed yet and over 300 houses have been destroyed.. The cause of the fire is unknown

TANINTHARYI
•Resistance group the Tanintharyi Defense Force raided the No. 4 Htone Kha labor camp in Tanintharyi on Sunday morning. Three junta soldiers and a resistance fighter died in the 20-minute clash (Source: The Irrawaddy)
