• The Burmese military burned at least 11,417 civilian houses in 296 villages since the 2021 coup, according to the research group Data for Myanmar.
• Coup leader Min Aung Hlaing keeps shuffling his officers Lieutenant General Than Hlaing (who recently oversaw military operations in Sagaing, Magway and Chin State, has been replaced by General Zin Min Htet as Chief of police.
• The military ministry of foreign affairs released a statement criticizing the words of Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah who recently called ASEAN countries to engage with the democratic National Unity Government (NUG).
• The current chair of ASEAN, Cambodia, will host a meeting on aid distribution to Myanmar on May 6th
• The head of Russian truck giant Kamaz visited Myanmar last week for talks with the terrorist Myanmar military junta to produce trucks in Myanmar, and will finalise an agreement by June. (Source: Justif for Myanmar)

• Loikaw: a woman in Renikan village lost her leg in a landmine explosion

KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
• Bilin: the military regime launched an airstrike on Lay Kay village. At least 10 houses have been burned
