• Myanmar people at home and abroad on Monday have raised more than US$ 2.2 million in 11 days to provide anti-aircraft launchers for resistance fighters to counter the regime’s airstrikes against civilians and anti-regime fighters in the country. (The Irrawaddy)
SAGAING
• Kalay: on April 10th Lin Htet Soe, who was returning from the Shwe Kyaung Taw Monastery, was shot and killed by regime soldiers. Two other residents were also killed, according to Khit Thit Media
• Hmandaw village: 3 internally displaced civilians, Thang Bik (29), Salai Ni Dun Sang (19) and Lian Thio (31), were killed by the Burmese military while returning to their villages to take food from their homes for their families living in refugee camps
KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
• Demoso: fighting between Resistance fighters and regime troops continue. 7 Resistance fighters and 30 regime soldiers have been reportedly killed. The Burmese army launched airstrikes against local People Defense Force at Naung Pale and U-Khu-Ri areas (Source: The Chindwin News Agency)
KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
• Myawaddy: the Burmese army fired heavy artillery at Thingan Nyi Naung Htee Mu Hta village, injuring 3 people, including a 5-year-old child
• Lay Kay Kaw: according to the Karen National Liberation Army, the Burmese military bombed its own troops on April 10th, killing several soldiers. It is not clear what caused the mistake.
MAGWAY
• Minbu: boxing champion Tu Tu was arrested by regime soldiers together with other civilians
YANGON
• An explosion occurred at Harry’s Bar, run by Myanmar regime crony U Tay Za and his family, who have been sanctioned by the US for providing financial support and arms to the military, in Yangon on Monday evening. No casualties have been reported. (Source: The Irrawaddy)
