The military regime is adopting a scorched earth campaign in Sagaing, Chin State and Karenni State, with the goal displacing thousands of people who won’t be able to return home, and won’t be able to support any revolutionary activity, including supporting Resistance fighters.

An official from the Karen National Union (KNU) said that at least three lieutenant colonels defected to the KNU itself. Lieutenant colonel are often deployed as battalion commanders.
CHIN STATE
• Celebrations for the 34th Chin Revolution Day were held in the headquarter of the Chin National Army. Representatives of the National Unity Government (NUG) and pro-democracy activists attended.
SAGAING
• Kalay: regime troops raided Nat Chaung and Aung Chan Thar villages, burning more than 70 houses according to Resistance groups. A 26-year-old man from from Nat Myaung village was killed.
KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
• Demoso: more than 40 houses have been burned by the military in Daw Nang Kha village
KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
• Nyaung Lay Pin: bomb attack by the Burmese military damaged some houses
YANGON
• Kawhmu: regime troops stormed a charity school in Myogone Hill and shot and killed Thant Sin Aung, chairman of the Ah Man Charitable Association.
MON STATE
• Thaton: 3 people, including a 7-year-old child, have been killed by artillery shells fired by the Burmese Army at a pagoda festival in Kyauktaung village
