The multiple charges some people are facing, show how the regime is looking to annihilate the opposition. 67 year old Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint received a 75 years sentence. Danny Fenster is now facing two new charges and risks 40 years of jail, just for being a journalist. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi herself is facing 11 charges

There are reports of an attack on regime troops by the Arakan Army. AA and the regime agreed to an informal ceasefire since November 2020. A relatively recent ethnic armed group, the Arakan Army has been one of the fiercest opponents of the Burmese Army. It was taking advantage ot the current Myanmar’s situation, to increase its administrative control over Rakhine State.
The regime is surely not thrilled to open a new war front.
