American journalist and Frontier Myanmar editor Danny Fenster, has been denied bail and is now facing an additional charge for overstaying his visa. He was arrested in Yangon International Airport while trying to exit the country after the coup.


Only 6 companies have made bids for 12 solar power projects in Myanmar. According to The Irrawady, among the bidders, there are cronies such as arms dealer U Aung Hlaing Oo (MCM Pacific Pte. Ltd.) and Steven Law (Asia World Group).


Vice general Soe Win was attending the meeting of the ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI). He used the platform to explain the legitimacy of the coup. Myanmar was excluded by last weeks ASEAN summit and it is not clear why a regime representative was allowed to this meeting.
