The situation in Chin State and Sagaing is escalating. The military regime is struggling in Chinland, despite the reinforces. A huge military convoy has been trapped by Resistance fighters on the Falam-Hakha Road. I am not an expert, but I guess the knowledge of the terrain and the agility of the Resistance fighters is playing a huge role.
In Khin U, Sagaing, over 60 regime troops have been killed in a landmine attack carried by local resistance groups.

The military regime reacted to the ASEAN’s decision to not invite general Min Aung Hlaing to the summit at the end of the month. It complains that ASEAN acted ignoring “good traditions of fostering Unity in Diversity through consultation and consensus”. It also said that ASEAN is acting under the pressure of foreign interference. I wonder how much Guterre’s decision to cancel the UN-ASEAN meeting influenced the decision to exclude the regime from the summit. One way the international community can put pressure on ASEAN countries to do more, is to punish the whole bloc for not being able/willing to solve the crisis. If they want to side with the Tatmadaw, let them sink with it.

A total of 7 students in Shan State have been sentenced to 3 years of prison. Their crime? Protesting the coup.
A teacher in Sagaing has been sentenced to 2 years of prison. Her crime? Breaking the Covid social distancing act.
3 people have been arrested in Kalaymyo, Sagaing. Their crime? Taking a picture of a military convoy that went viral online.
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has been arrested for importing walkie talkies. President U Win Myint’s (and DASSK’s) lawyer has been barred from speaking to the media, because he caused “alarm”.
This is life under the military regime. People only want a normal life and their human rights. Before judging Burmese people for resisting the coup, even with the use of violence, think about what living like this could be.
