As many Burmese prepare for the end of the Buddhist Lent, the conflict between Resistance fighters and regime soldiers sees no pause.
In Kalay (Sagaing), the Junta is evacuating military families by air. This might be a sign that the conflict may intensify again soon.

POLITICS, ECONOMY AND OTHER NEWS
• Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint pleaded not guilty to charges of breaching the Coronavirus protocol during the 2020 political campaign. If found guilty, they could be sentenced to 3 years of prison.
Myanmar’s military regime has denied the Chin Defense Force (CDF)’s claim that the personal staff officer and the driver of North Western Command deputy commander Brigadier General Myo Htut Hlaing have defected and joined the Civil Disobedience Movement. (Source: The Irrawady)
• The military regime plans to vaccinate against Covid students aged 12 or older, as it seeks to reopen schools after two months of closure. According to official data, 7% of the population is fully vaccinated and 15,4% has received at least one dose. General Min Aung Hlaing planned to vaccinate 50% of the population before the end of the year.
• Around 90 junta soldiers were reportedly killed during intense clashes with civilian resistance fighters in Sagaing and Magwe regions and Kayah State on the weekend. (Source: The Irrawady)
• About 110 elected MPs from the National League for Democracy (NLD) have signed documents with the Myanmar junta saying they have nothing to do with CRPH, NUG or PDF, an anonymous party leader told Myanmar Now. (Source: Myanmar Now)
• Since the coup, a total of 54 journalists have been arrested and 8 media outlets have been closed.

YANGON
• Mayangone: Resistance fighters attacked a group of soldiers in front of a City Mart. At least one Food Panda rider injured.
• Mingaladon: 2 explosion, one at a military-owned garment factory, one at the Township administration office
• Hlaing: a USDP member, alleged informant, killed

MANDALAY
• Amarapura: according to the regime’s Ministry of Information, security forces have seized a large number of weapons and ammunitions, including 200 assault rifles, 20 machin guns and over 30,000 rounds of ammunition.
• Mahlaing Township, Meiktila District: Kyaw Nyein, a member of the township administration, was killed by 6 gunmen

SAGAING
• Lathar village, Htee Chaing: regime soldiers raided the village and killed 4 Resistance fighters.
• Kalay: the regime evacuated military families by air.
• Htigyaing: Junta forces have arrested three 15-year-olds in Sagaing Region after being unable to find the people they wanted to arrest during raids targeting National League for Democracy (NLD) members, locals said. (Source: Myanmar Now)
• Htigyaing: 25 year old civilian Zaw Myo Htun, was tortured and killed by regime soldiers during an interrogation
• Khin U: a Pyu Saw Htee (pro-military fighter) has been killed
• Pale: over 30 regime soldiers killed by Resistance fighters in multiple attacks
• Ayadaw: regime soldiers raided the village and burnt a house
• The Tatmadaw has been training militia forces at its base in Naungmon township since Oct 9 with the aim of attacking the KIA and PDFs. (Source: DVB)
• Chaung U: 1 killed and 1 injured in a landmine explosion
• Minkin: residents of 30 villages had to flee, after local PDF and regime soldiers clashed.

KAREN (KAYIN) STATE
• Kaw Nwe village, Kawkareik: 2 regime soldiers killed by a coalition of KNLA (Karen National Liberation Army) and DKBA (Democratic Karen Buddhist Association) fighters.
• Hpa-An: Four women of the same family suffocated inside a bomb shelter that they had dug to shelter from attacks. The deaths occurred in Sein Paing village, Hpa-An, on Saturday (Source: DVB)

• Hpakant: a Mytel (military-owned telcom) tower was destroyed by Resistance fighters.

CHIN STATE
• The military convoy of 40+ vehicles and 2 tanks spotted in Kalay 3 days ago, is approaching Falam, according to Chindwin News.
• Lumbang Village: 55 trucks full of soldiers arrived.

KARENNI (KAYAH) STATE
• Demoso: a civilian was shot dead by regime soldiers
• A displaced woman died, unable to get proper health care

ARAKAN (RAKHINE) STATE
• Thandwe: activist U Sein Chit arrested by regime forces under Sections 50(a) and 52(a) of the Counter-Terrorism Law.

MAGWAY
• Htilin: local PDF attacked a Pyu Saw Htee group (pro-military armed militia) killing one of them and retaking its own weapons that were previously seized.
• Myaing: Myaing and Yezakyo PDF attacked a military regime base, inflicting an unknown number of victimis.
• Pwint Phyu: regime soldiers opened fire on civilians who tried to avoid arrest. 1 man killed, 4 injured.

BAGO
• Thakala city: local administrator Aung Min Oo killed
• Zigone: 2 soldiers killed, 2 injured
• The regime is recruiting civilians to join the army. Residents have been forced to pay a bribe in case they don’t want to join.

TANINTHARYI
• Lonephaw, KawThaung: regime soldiers raided the village and killed a worker.

MON STATE
• Ye: Resistance fighters attacked 3 regime soldiers, can’t confirm casualties

AYEYARWADY
• Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population in Ayeyarwaddy Region has appointed new staff to substitute for • Assistant Immigration Officers who joined the CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement), according to CDM staff. (Source: Mizzima)
